When I tell you that I write books and devour stories, what I really mean is that I spend all day staring at computer screens and pulped pieces of wood when I should probably be doing productive things like learning how to make carrot pudding, giving candy to babies, or cleaning floors with my toothbrush. Aside from blogging and noveling (that’s totally a word), I drink copious amounts of coffee, research random/useless bits of information, and debate the finer points of punctuation. If you doubt my claims of insanity, I could tell you about the many times I ate paint as a child, or we could discuss the various instances in which I’ve forgotten my name and age.
As a child, I lived in Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast), West Africa for over two years, and apparently people find that interesting. Eventually I’ll write a post or twelve about it. In the meantime, here are a few more facts about me: I’m a Christian, I can read French really well but if you asked me to say anything in it I’d probably fake my own death, I think rats are adorable, and I would love to be queen of England (or, you know, the world).
Hi Liz,
ReplyDeleteI realize you're super busy with moving and with NaNo (seriously, I have no idea how you've written so much) but I was wondering if you would be up for swapping MS critiques in the near future? Obviously (if you were up for it) it would be when you're less busy. Anyways, thanks for your time and good luck with NaNo!

Hey :)
DeleteI would love to swap MS critiques! Thank you so much for suggesting it. :D My schedule is a little less busy in December, so I could probably read your manuscript as early as that. If you're still interested, you can email me at adelethelaptop@gmail.com, and we can discuss timing and feedback preferences and stuff.
Thank you! :)
Do you have a goodreads I can follow you on?
ReplyDeleteSure! Here's the link: https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/35400297-liz-brooks.
DeleteI don't post reviews there much at the moment. I may start doing more soon, but no promises. :P
