Five Truths and Four Lies

Once upon a time, in an age long past (so, about a month ago), TT @ Intro to Blurb tagged me for the Dragon’s Loyalty Award. I did this tag a while back, but not only is this tag great for repeat offenders like yours truly, it’s also been altered since the last time I did it. Which means I'm up for round two.

Here are the new and exciting rules:

Say nine things about yourself. Either four can be true and five false, or vice versa.

Tag people—share the lies (I mean, the love).

I have elected to share five facts about myself and four lies. It’s your job to guess which ones are true and which ones are not. Let the fibbing games begin, and may the odds be ever in my favor. Or something like that.

1) I’m probably hiding in your closet right now.

2) I don’t suffer from caffeine-withdrawal headaches when I go without coffee.

3) I am ambivalent about Nate Ruess' singing abilities.

4) I love Panic! at the Disco.

5) My favorite numbers are one and eleven.

6) I love reading the classics.

7) Chickens are my favorite kind of bird.

8) I am deathly afraid of spiders.

9) In kindergarten, my fellow classmates frequently got upset with me for reading too quickly.

And there you have it, my little coffee beans. Now it’s your turn. Which ones do you think are facts, and which ones are lies? Next week I shall spill the beans.

  1. I was tagged for this too and was actually just composing my post.

    1) *checks in closet* Um, false. Unless you're invisible? If you take any books, please return them after reading them.

    2)False. I think you would?

    3) I have no clue who this Nate person is. . . I'm going to say false just for kicks.

    4) I haven't the faintest. Let's just go with true.

    5) Sure. Why not? True.

    6) True.

7)False. Chickens are some of the dumbest animals alive.

    9) Let's say yes. True.

This is such a fun game!

    1. I'll have to hop on over to read your post soon (I'm super behind, but I'm really excited about reading it).

I'm totally invisible. *evil laugh* Fine, I'll return the books, if I have to. *stomps off*

It was really fun to write the lies, but I must say, it's even fun to read your guesses. :P You got 5 out of 9. :)

  2. I'm gonna guess that 1, 2, 3, and 7 are lies, but I could see 3 being wrong and 4 taking its spot. I'm not sure. I don't know who Nate Reuss is so I can't compare musical styles.

    Thanks for tagging me! :D

    1. I got sneaky with the music to make things trickier. :P You were correct about 1 and 3 being lies (also 4).

You're welcome! I look forward to reading your answers! :)

  3. 1. False--or you would have caused aloud crash as you displaced the heap of stuff that is crammed in there.
    2. True--because I think you might be hiding a superpower. And that would definitely be one.
    3. True--because I have no idea who that is.
    4. True--Just a guess, really.
    5. True--Stab in the dark.
    6. False--gotta have a false one in there somewhere.
    7. False--I feel like you'd be more of a hawk person. Perhaps a chicken hawk?
    8. True--Have you seen the Australian spider pictures Victoria's posted?
    9. False--I suppose that makes this one false, though I think it could definitely be true.

You put some real stumpers in there!

    1. You got me. *slinks off in shame*
Aww, your faith in me is inspiring. *gives you coffee beans*
Chicken hawk is a good guess. :P But no banana. I actually do love chickens. (Although hawks aren't bad, either.)
I have seen those pictures. *shudders* They make me want to puke, but I'd still go after them (probably with a gun).

I did try. :P You got 3 out of 9 (if I did my math right).

  4. 1) False because there's pretty much no room in there for you. Good luck fitting in there.
    2) Dude, this is hard. Err, I'm going to say true because you always seem to have hidden talents.
    3) True because I don't have a clue who that is and it's a 50/50 chance, right?
    4) False because I also don't know what that is, and see above.
    5) True because why not?
    6) True because you loved Watership Down.
    7) The frustrating thing is I can see it being either quite easily. Um, false. I feel like you would have seen some pretty cool birds in Africa?
    8) True, if you were not then something is wrong with you.
    9) True. That's just the sort of thing you'd do.

These were really hard!! And thanks for tagging me!

    1. I'm very talented. *gets stuck* *has to ask for help getting out* *runs off because awkwardness*
Ooh, you payed attention. *gives you coffee beans for remembering how much I love Watership Down*
We did have some cool birds in Africa, but we also had some cool chickens. My favorite was a chicken with only one leg who hopped around everywhere and was super ornery.
Something is wrong with me. *shifty eyes* :P

      You got 6 out of 9. :)

I tried to make them as hard as possible. And you're welcome! I look forward to reading your own post! :)

  5. I'm going to guess that 1, 2, 3, and 7 are the lies. I've never been really good at this game, though, so we'll see :)

    1. You got 2 guesses right. :) I tried to make them as hard as possible, so you did really well. :)

  6. I'm only sure that 2 is a lie?? If you don't suffer from withdrawal headaches when you don't drink coffee then you are a super human :P

    Thanks for the tag! :)

    1. *evil laugh* *hides superhero cape* :P

You're welcome! Sorry I haven't gotten around to reading your answers yet. I have a lot of catching up to do, but I'm really looking forward to getting to them. :)

  7. Haha this seems fun! I think 1,2, and 4 are lies. XD

    1. You got two guesses right! :) If you'd like, you can consider yourself tagged. :)

  8. 1. Lie

    2. True

    3. True? I have no idea who he is!

    4. True

    5. Lie

    6. True

    7. Lie

    8. Lie

    9. Lie

    1. You got 4 out of 9 correct. (I tried to make it as tricky as possible).

      Thanks for commenting! :)

  9. Oh this is so cool! Okay, I tried to do it, but I literally had no idea, lol :p So I will simply say that 8 is COMPLETELY true for me, and also that 9 seems like it would be true, but then it might be reverse psychology which would make it a lie, or even reverse reverse psychology which would make it true. So. I'm not really certain.

    1. Haha, my sneaky brain games have succeeded. *evil laughter* *evil laughter intensifies*
